District Scheduler
Representative-Elect Laura Friedman (CA-30) seeks a District Scheduler. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, detail-oriented self starters with at least 1-2 years professional experience, ideally in administrative and/or scheduling roles. This employee will work closely with the Scheduler in the DC Office, Chief of Staff, and District Director to ensure smooth daily execution of the Member’s schedule and day-to-day office operations.

Key Duties: Includes (but is not limited to):

Booking and coordinating the Member’s travel;
-
In conjunction with the Scheduler, coordinating and maintaining the Member’s daily schedule in the district and in DC;

Collecting, organizing, and managing event and meeting invitations;
-
Interfacing with constituents and other external stakeholders;
-
Ensuring the Member receives briefing materials on time;
-
Helping with other office operational needs as needed.

Working with the District Director to ensure smooth event and meeting operations.

Field Representative
Representative-Elect Laura Friedman (CA-30) seeks a Field Representative in the District Office for duties including but not limited to:

Conducting outreach to communities and stakeholders on behalf of the Member;

Ensuring outreach efforts align with the Member’s strategic vision and goals;
-
Serving as a representative for the Member at district events, as determined by the District Director;
-
Coordinating with Washington, DC staff to ensure district priorities are reflected in legislative priorities;
-
Build and maintain relationships with constituents and key community stakeholders;
-
Coordinate with communications staff to highlight casework, monitoring casework trends;
-
Inform the District Director, Deputy District Director, Director of Constituent Services, and the Members about emerging issues in the district.
The Field Representative reports to the Director of Outreach and Grants.

Director of Outreach & Grants
Representative-Elect Laura Friedman (CA-30) seeks a Director of Outreach & Grants in her District Office for duties including but not limited to:

Building and maintaining positive relationships with constituents, key community leaders, government entities, and other stakeholders on behalf of the office and the Member;
-
Directing all aspects of office outreach and grant related activities;
-
Monitoring and updating the Member, District Director and Chief of Staff on local issues and news;
-
Maintaining accurate and complete files on all grant and outreach activities;
-
Coordinating with the District Director and Member to ensure outreach efforts are aligned with the Member’s strategic vision, goals, and priorities;
-
Attending events to staff or advance the Member, including on evenings and weekends, as determined by the District Director;
-
Attending events to serve as a representative for the Member, including on evenings and weekends, as determined by the District Director.
The Director of Outreach & Grants reports to the District Director.

Director of Constituent Service
Representative-Elect Laura Friedman (CA-30) seeks a Director of Constituent Service in the District Office for duties including but not limited to:

Serving as a liaison with federal, state, and local government entities for the Member and constituents;

Managing the casework team, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback;
-
Directing all aspects of constituent casework;
-
Monitoring and updates the Member, District Director and Chief of Staff on local issues;
-
Managing weekly reports for the Member on pending cases and district activities;
-
Maintaining accurate and complete files on all casework matters;
-
Monitoring, screening, and referring cases, when appropriate, to other government entities;
-
Conducting constituent outreach on behalf of the office, including in evenings and on weekends;
-
Attending events to staff or advance the Member, including on evenings and weekends, as determined by the District Director;
-
Attending events to serve as a representative for the Member, including on evenings and weekends, as determined by the District Director.
The Director of Constituent Service reports to the District Director.
